Lone Star Plumbing Company LLC is a licensed, bonded, and insured plumbing contractor serving the greater Portland/Beaverton metro area. We are looking for a motivated, dependable Plumbing Helper to join our team part-time. This is a fantastic opportunity for trade students, pre-apprentices, or anyone looking to gain hands-on, real-world field experience in the plumbing industry.
Job Summary & Schedule
- Position Type: Part-Time (Permanent)
- Hours: 25 hours per week (Flexible scheduling available for trade school students)
- Location: Base operations out of the Beaverton/Portland area (Dispatching to residential and commercial job sites)
- Pay Range:18-24 per hour (Depending on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Job Site Preparation: Load, unload, and stage plumbing tools, materials, and equipment from the service truck.
- Assistance: Assist the lead plumber with residential/commercial service calls, rough-ins, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Site Safety & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area before, during, and after jobs.
- Tool Handling: Properly handle and maintain standard trade tools (pipe cutters, wrenches, drills).
- Material Running: Retrieve parts or tools from the truck or local supply houses as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: No prior professional plumbing experience required, but basic familiarity with hand/power tools or construction environments is a major plus.
- License: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in tight spaces (crawlspaces, under sinks), and stand for extended periods.
- Attributes: Reliable, punctual, eager to learn, and possesses strong communication skills when interacting with teammates and clients.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
