President & CEO Andrew Colas formally joined COLAS in June of 1999, serving as an apprentice to his father in the field.

Upon completing his degree from the Lundquist College of Business at the University of Oregon, Andrew joined the company full-time; whereas a project manager, he developed the skills to manage multiple projects successfully. Andrew currently leads the business development and operational teams at COLAS and has utilized his experience in the field to spearhead the redevelopment of COLAS’ project delivery, fiscal, estimating safety, and project supervision systems.

A NE Portland native and lifelong community activist, Andrew works tirelessly to promote investment and job creation in underserved populations through his role at COLAS, the COLAS Foundation Fund, and various boards and works with community organizations.

Alando Simpson is the CEO of City of Roses Disposal & Recycling (COR), a materials management organization specializing in waste collection, material processing, and demolition services.

Alando has worked diligently to solidify the company as a sustainable waste/recycling leader with a strong emphasis on the circular economy. His leadership within COR has enabled the company to be recognized as a reliable and timely service provider and a trailblazer in recycling and innovation for the Portland Metro Region. As the leader of a certified Benefit Corporation, Alando has taken his socially and environmentally conscious principles from his business and has begun to share these values throughout his civic activities.

Alando has high aspirations for the Portland Metro Region to build a 21st-century sustainable ecosystem that fosters a vibrant economy, environmental stewardship, and equity for all people.

Executive at Propel Insurance, Don’s focus is Commercial Insurance and Surety Bonding with expertise in HUD Closings and working with Minority-owned businesses.

Meeting new people all the time and getting to know them, and understanding how to help their business thrive is what fuels him every day.

Cobi currently serves as Chief Operating Officer of the 1803 Fund. Formerly a Senior Vice President at Umpqua Bank and Executive Director of Micro Enterprise Services of  Oregon (MESO), she brings a deep background in nonprofit leadership and community development. Cobi is widely respected for her commitment to advancing economic equity in Oregon, particularly through expanding access to capital for underserved borrowers.

Co-founder of Raimore Construction, Jeff has guided Raimore’s growth from just two employees to 80 and expanded their skill sets, providing streetscape and structural steelwork.

The company has won the largest-ever contract for a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) in the state of Oregon for TriMet’s new Division Transit Project, a contract that is estimated to be worth $60-$65 million. The size of the job is expected to graduate Raimore out of its status as a DBE.
