Education & Empowerment

Education & Empowerment is a core pillar of NAMC Oregon’s work, designed to strengthen small businesses through intentional, culturally responsive learning opportunities. Through NAMC University, Universidad de NAMC, Building Green Futures, Lunch & Learn, Project Showcase, and Back to Basics, we deliver trainings that reflect current construction industry trends while centering the real needs and experiences of our members. Topics are shaped by direct member feedback and often led in partnership with industry experts, ensuring relevant, practical, and actionable learning. This approach creates accessible pathways for growth, capacity building, and long-term success.

Our educational offerings are available virtually or in person, making it easy to participate and stay engaged, no matter where you are. Format may vary depending on the training.

NAMC University

NAMC University's mission is to provide a learning platform for NAMC-Oregon Members and their team to enhance business development, strengthen business acumen, and expand knowledge of the ever-evolving construction industry.

NAMC-Oregon is a Continuing Education (CE) Provider. Each NAMC University counts as two (2) CE credits toward a contractor's yearly continuing education required for the Oregon CCB license.

Building Green Futures

Building Green Futures is a small business development program created by NAMC-Oregon to provide Members and their teams access to low and no cost certification training, mentorship and opportunities in Oregon’s fast-growing green economy.

Lunch & Learn

Lunch & Learns offer partners a platform to share in-depth information about upcoming projects, new programs, and emerging requirements that directly impact small businesses owned by People of Color in construction and adjacent industries. By fostering collaboration and transparency, these sessions help ensure that NAMC-Oregon Members and their team have early access to critical insights and the resources needed to position their businesses for success
in Oregon’s evolving marketplace.

Back to Basics

Back to Basics is an 8-week hands-on training series designed for our Members and their team who want to establish a solid foundation for their businesses. This program addresses common skill gaps in areas such as business operations, financial management, and marketing, enabling participants to confidently manage and grow their ventures.

Universidad de NAMC

Universidad de NAMC ofrece talleres especializados y apoyo personalizado para ayudar a los propietarios de pequeñas empresas a aumentar sus contratos, ganancias y habilidades estratégicas. Abierto a la comunidad.

*English translation services will be available during the training session. These trainings are open to the community.
