Description:   The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a contract for: selective removal of dead (or visibly dying) trees within ODOT right of way along the Umpqua Highway (OR38) between Scottsburg and Reedsport, OR in Douglas County.

Pre Bid Meeting: There is no pre-bid meeting.

Key Project Dates:

START DATE: After Notice to Proceed, but onsite Work may not begin prior to September 1, 2026.

FINAL COMPLETION: February 26, 2027

Scope of Work to be done: The Work to be done under this Contract consists of the following, located along the Umpqua Highway (OR38), between MP 6 and MP 9 (Dean Creek Rd. and the Umpqua Wayside), in Douglas County OR:

1. Furnish and maintain temporary work zone traffic control.

2. Furnishing material, equipment, labor, and incidentals required to cut and remove approximately 79 dead (or visibly dying) trees and other vegetation from ODOT right of way, and remove/chip materials on site, as directed. Remove or chip foliage and debris deposited from felled trees and tree limbs and larger brush, as directed. See Figure 1 and Table 1 below for further details and the location of the tree removal Work to be done.

3. Perform additional and incidental Work as called for by the plans and specifications.
