Description
Friendly Hall was constructed in 1893, with major additions in 1909 and 1914. It is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places. The project involves restoration, reconfiguration, upgrades to address deferred maintenance; comply with current fire and life safety, accessibility, and seismic standards; and upgrade the facility for modern academic use. The project includes a two-story addition and site upgrades. This 45,440 SF building will be fully-sprinklered, Type IIIB construction with 4 stories above an occupied basement. It will be a mixed-occupancy building with non-separated uses. The main building occupancy will be Group B.
