Fleet Forward Ride and Drive Event
You are invited to the Fleet Forward Electric Ride & Drive event on Tuesday, Sept. 29, at Portland International Raceway from 10am to 3pm. Transitioning trucks and equipment away from diesel can help fleets reduce fuel costs and avoid experience with continuing high diesel prices. Zero-emissions vehicles also cut tailpipe pollution and help protect the health of drivers, workers and communities while keeping Oregon’s air cleaner.
At the event, you’ll be able to:
- Test drive zero-emission medium and heavy-duty vehicles
- Explore charging and other fleet technologies
- Meet with industry experts to receive practical guidance tailored to your business or organization
- Learn about charging solutions, incentives, funding opportunities, and fleet electrification
- Network with industry professionals and discover the latest fleet technologies
Register at the Fleet Forward event page and see how electric commercial vehicles can move your fleet forward. Pre-registration is encouraged to help secure your preferred test drive experience.
The Fleet Forward Electric Ride & Drive event is hosted by Portland General Electric, the Oregon Department of Transportation, Oregon Department of Environmental Quality, Oregon Department of Energy and the National Association of State Energy Officials.

Diesel Emission Mitigation Grants (PDF)
The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality is providing approximately $6 million this year in grant funding for diesel equipment owners to replace older and more polluting diesel engines with new, cleaner technologies and exhaust control retrofits. The program is designed to help address health and environmental impacts from diesel emissions in Oregon.
The 2026 application is the last opportunity for the Diesel Emissions Mitigation Grant from DEQ. Submissions must be received by DEQ no later than 5 p.m. on October 21, 2026. Business, government, and tribal diesel equipment owners across the state are encouraged to apply for funding for projects that reduce diesel emissions in Oregon. Owners of medium- and heavy-duty vehicles requiring retrofits under the new Diesel Retrofit Compliance Program may also apply for funding to support the installation of diesel particulate filters.
