RESOLVE Architecture + Planning, founded in 2014 by Suenn Ho and John Flynn, is dedicated to giving a voice to seldom-heard stories rich in history and cultural heritage. From an ODOT interpretive installation for historic bridges in Astoria-Warrenton to the Heritage Trail & Installations in downtown Tigard, their placemaking design approach and collaborative work with local artisans aim to create meaningful experiences. With decades of international design experience, including renowned projects in France, Hong Kong, and major U.S. cities, Ho and Flynn bring a wealth of expertise to their Portland-based firm.
RESOLVE Architecture + Planning embraces projects aligned with their interests, fostering collaborations with a diverse range of specialists, including economists, artisan fabricators, and quality-focused constructors. They view their firm as a vehicle for promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in the building industry through their practice, mentorship, and engagement. 
Their project portfolio includes notable endeavors such as The Garden of Surging Waves – Heritage Square for Astoria’s Bicentennial Legacy Project, the Reuse and Electrical Complex at Clean Water Services, and the Keller Café at Keller Auditorium in Portland. Additionally, RESOLVE has contributed to projects like the Metro Expo Center D-E Connector, APANO Offices and Multicultural Center, and the Donor Screen and Wall Art for FORA Health’s new facility, all located in Portland. As members of NAMC-Oregon since May 2021, Ho and Flynn leverage their membership to advocate for increased participation of minority-owned companies in construction projects. They appreciate the networking opportunities and chance to build relationships with general contractors and subcontractors who might otherwise be overlooked. Recognizing that successful projects rely on collaboration and hard work from various contributors, they value NAMC-Oregon as an excellent platform for finding like-minded collaborators.
